The Groundwork Elizabeth Green Team was founded over a decade ago and, since then, the program has educated, invested, and employed hundreds of diverse youth, providing platforms for young people to effect change in themselves as they work to understand, improve and advocate for natural environments where they live, and in our society as a whole.
Many program participants have gone on from the Green Team to roles in non-profit organizations and the private sector. Groundwork Elizabeth believes our youth have the potential to become the next generation of leaders in our community.
In addition to the Green Team Program, we provide other youth development programs including the Mayors Youth Council, HACE Heat in partnership with The Housing Authority City of Elizabeth and NJ Youth Corps.
