Groundwork Elizabeth’s 4th Urban Farm Dinner TO GO!

This year’s menu will include:

  • Pig Candy (Slab bacon with maple syrup, brown sugar and spices)
  • Garden Harvest Salad (grown in Elizabeth at the MicroFarm)
  • Braised Short Ribs
  • Sides to include Turnip Mashed, Honey Glazed Baby Carrots and some special ideas created by George Vlahos
  • Custom made Fall Harvest Cocktail just for this event
  • Dessert samples from local Elizabeth bakeries
  • And of course #Everybodygetsagarden*
  • Vegetarian option available by request

Dinners will be available to be picked up from 4-6pm on November 7th

    All guests are invited to join the viewing party as George Vlahos and Cara DiFalco craft the dinner. QR code will be included in dinner package.

    *Everyone participating in the Urban Farm Dinner will receive a 7 gallon Grow Bag, soil, a coupon for plants at Jerry’s (Free) Plant Sale in May and a  seed starting kit. Don’t want to garden?  Groundwork Elizabeth will donate the Grow Bag to an Elizabeth Pre-k family. **Delivery Options available.

    Proceeds support the MicroFarm and Groundwork Elizabeth’s Come Grow With Us! program. These programs are designed to:

    • Increase access to sustainable grown food while providing accompanying agricultural education to Elizabeth’s 29,000 school aged children.
    • Address a healthier and more equitable environment through the conservation, restoration, and mitigation of challenges to local ecosystems at urban sites in Elizabeth and throughout Union County
    • Build skills and uplift the lives of those from ages 14-24 through youth development programs
    • Develop green workforce careers
